Blustein, Shapiro, Frank & Barone, LLP is delighted to announce that attorney Megan Conroy has been named Partner at the Hudson Valley law firm.
Conroy, who joined Blustein, Shapiro, Frank & Barone, LLP in 2015, focuses her practice on estate planning/wealth preservation, elder law, Medicaid and special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. Conroy currently serves as recording secretary on the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties (WBAOSC) Board of Directors and treasurer on the Cornell Cooperative Extension Board of Directors.
“This well-earned promotion is a testament to Megan’s hard work and expertise, and we couldn’t be happier to have her join us as Partner,” said Managing Partner Michael Blustein. “She has consistently demonstrated the intelligence, ambition, and commitment that we know will ensure this firm’s future success.”
“Not only is Megan a delightful person, but she is without doubt one of the top elder law and estate planning attorneys in the Hudson Valley,” added Partner Richard Shapiro, J.D., CELA, CAP. “We are proud to have her join the partnership ranks at BSF&B.”
Conroy, a graduate of The College of Saint Rose (magna cum laude) and Albany Law School, was awarded the Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the WBAOSC in 2018. In addition, she was selected by the Junior League of Orange County as one of Orange County’s Rising Stars and graduated from Leadership Orange, the county’s premier leadership training program.
“It is truly an honor to work with such a stellar group of legal professionals,” said Conroy. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to build upon the firm’s legacy of excellence in the legal community.”
A native of Orange County, Conroy is admitted to practice law in New York State and has studied international law in Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, Monaco, and England.
Conroy joins Partners Richard Shapiro, Gardiner Barone, William Frank, Jay Myrow, Diana Puglisi, and Managing Partner Michael Blustein.
