Mehvish Maqbool
ATTORNEY
Mehvish Maqbool is an attorney who focuses her practice on elder law and estate planning.
Mehvish, who joined the BSF&B team in 2021, completed her Juris Doctor degree and earned a certification in Real Estate Law from Brooklyn Law School. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Orange, the county’s premier leadership training program, and currently serves as a Board Member and member of the program’s Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) and Golf committees. She’s also a member of the Middletown Bar Association and the Orange County Human Rights Commission (OCHRC), Director of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council, and Recording Secretary of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange & Sullivan Counties (WBAOSC).
Before completing her Juris Doctor degree, Mehvish accumulated a variety of experience serving in a diverse range of legal positions. During her time at Brooklyn Law School, Mehvish was a teaching assistant for a Family Law course and a Research Assistant for both the law school’s Disability and Civil Rights Clinic and its LGBT Advocacy Clinic. Mehvish was also involved in many organizations, including the Family Law and Policy Association, the South Asian Law Student Association, and the Legal Association for Women.
Mehvish is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, golf, hiking around the Hudson Valley, and discovering local restaurants.
