Cynthia Hand focuses her practice on Wills, Trusts, and Estates.

Before joining Blustein, Shapiro, Frank & Barone, LLP, Cynthia served as Vice President and Trust Officer in Orange Bank & Trust Company’s Wealth Management – Trust Services Department, where she acted as a neutral third-party trustee for numerous private trust accounts. She previously practiced as an Associate Attorney in the Wills, Trusts & Estates Department of another area law firm.

Cynthia’s professional achievements have been widely recognized. She received the 2022 Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Orange & Sullivan Counties (WBAOSC) and served as the organization’s President for the 2023–2024 membership year, following several years in other leadership roles. She was also named a 2022 Rising Star by the Junior League of Orange County, Inc., and is a 2023 graduate of Leadership Orange.

Cynthia earned her Juris Doctor with a Tax Law Concentration Certificate from Quinnipiac University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Muhlenberg College. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York.

Deeply committed to public service, Cynthia currently serves as a Village of Goshen Trustee and has previously served on the Town of Goshen Board of Assessment Review, Planning Board, Environmental Review Board and Zoning Board of Appeals. She also currently serves as a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee Co-Chair for the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY). Cynthia is also a proud member of the Business and Professional Woman’s Society of Goshen, NY.

Cynthia along with her husband and their boys enjoy hiking and just generally being outdoors. She enjoys reading, gardening and cooking.
